Eugenia Beecher

February 19, 2007

I have just returned home to Madison from the funeral of my mother in law, Florence Beecher. Over the last days I have been thinking of this wonman and what she ment to me, my family and my life.

Love,Joy, and Learning

I met her 43 years ago and she became a full part of my life at that time. Full of life and always good thoughts about everything. Not a pollyanna, but a real person with real thoughts about life.

She helped to raise her three children to become the best they could be. What they became was always the best no matter what it was, because they were her children. Her grandchildren and later her great grandchildren would be told the same thing, you are good, keep going. The result was they did their best.

Flroence's son ( my husband) has a PhD in science, a dauther is a medical doctor, another daugher has an MBA in businness and continues to expand her skills and horzions. A
grandson and grandaugher that have advanced degrees in areas that serve their communities.

Now a great grandson has just placed in a science fair in OH. Another has auditonded for a special school in music and voice in OH. The youngest of Florence's greatgrand children (4 plus year ) is showing wonderful artist ability.

Florence would have said "way to go boys, I know you are the best."

To please her, to make her proud, to say we love you, each of us has done what we could do to live our lives to the future...the best.

We will miss you, but we will not ever be without you.

Love

My grandmother's spirit will live on in the many people who's lives she touched. Hers was a shining example of a life well lived. I am blessed to have been a part of her life.

I was very sorry to hear about Mrs. Beecher. She was such a beautiful person. I lived next door to her only 5 years, but in that time, I came to love her. She was wonderful. You have my most sincere condolences.

My grandmother was a unique and wonderful person. I am blessed and very fortunate to have known and been guided by her. She is one of my personal heros. Her spirit will never be forgotten, and will live forever in me, and in her grandchildren, and beyond. My grandma was a force of nature. Grandma was tenacious, dependable, and very smart. I miss her, but my grief is mitigated by her everlasting influence on her loved ones, especially myself and my family. I am exceptionally fortunate to have known this great lady for so many years.
