Felicia Lamendella Obituary

It was always such a pleasure to chat with your mom on the phone over the miles. We could always tell she had a "smile" in her voice.

Felicia was a presence to be reckoned with. I don't think she passed unobtrusively through anyone's life. If you were lucky enough to have encountered her, you would never forget her. (She wouldn't let you, if you tried!) Everyone will have their own strong memories of her - and their own "lessons from Felicia" that they will try to emulate in their own lives. From my own experience, it will be her amazing ability nurture relationships. It was remarkable how she took such a deep and sincere interest in the lives of everyone she encountered. She seemed insatiable in her appetite for personal information and she NEVER FOROT A THING! Of course, once you were on her list, she would also never, never let you go - she emulated such tenacity and steadfastness in her relationships! In short, she seemed to think that everyone was "special" - and she helped us all to feel that way.

What can you say about a woman that was constantly praying for me during my fight with leukemia? If this wasn't a sign of love, then how about her continued prayers after my treatment and interest in my life? We will miss that warm and loving heart and smile.

To the woman who devoutly prayed for my health and happiness, to my "honorary Mama", to one who gave freely to all around her....you are honored.

My condolences to your family. I worked with your Mom at Hoffings for over twenty years. She was a fine and caring lady and was so proud of her family. I have many fond memories of her. God Bless you.

Felicia was a wonderful, loving friend, and I am a better person for having known her and loved her. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of us who will always remember the bright spark she brought to each of our lives.

To everyone who loved her deeply, I wish for you the peace and joy of knowing that Felicia is finally able to be with all of us at all times - and yes, she is fluffing her wings like a true queen!



In honor of this great woman who graced my life and that of my entire family, I will be eternally and wholeheartedly grateful!

Joe, John and Justine: my sympathy to you on your loss. There aren't many left of the old School St. bunch. It was a great time in my life to have shared with your mother. I am very sorry that I couldn't make it for mass this morning.

I was saddened to hear of "Auntie Phil's" death but know that she lived a long and full life. She was a good friend to many and will be fondly remembered.

Phyl was another Grandmother to us. We loved her and will miss her dearly. She will live on in our hearts and memories when we look back at her in our wedding photos. Our prayers are with the family at this time. God bless all of you.
