Evelyn Stuart Obituary

Evelyn Lorna Stuart
2/3/26 - 2/25/13
Resident of San Leandro
Nana (whose given name is Evelyn) was born in Canada and raised in the San Joaquin Valley by her two aunties, Lorna Doone Cross and Helen Tooker. She has lived in the Bay Area for almost 70 years.
She passed away Monday at home, surrounded by her family.
Between these two events, Evelyn was so loving and caring to everyone she met that she became "Nana" to hundreds.
Nana loved to make jewelry, sew, paint (both watercolors and oil), create ceramics, knit and crochet. She also loved every baby she ever saw. Her collections of clowns, pink glass and anything with maple leaves are worth seeing. Holidays were so good for Nana because she loved to decorate and bake.
But most of all she loved her family. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Stan Stuart; daughters - Kathie (Howard) Ormsby, Carrie Duffy and Lisa Stuart; grandchildren - Nikki (Steven) Kidwell, Coleen (Derrel) Ramsey, Viki (Ron) Yool, Megan (Alan) Tahran; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.
A celebration of our amazing Nana will be held Sunday, March 3, 2013 @2:30, at Fairhaven Bible Chapel, 401 MacArthur Blvd., San Leandro, CA

I met my Aunt when I was about 13 yo. She always bought a candy bar from me for the Little League candy sale back then. I'm grateful for all the years I've known her. She was a wonderful woman that I loved and will miss dearly.
