Dear Christine, Sue, Pete, Mike, wonderful grandchildren, and extended family and friends of Gino Mroz,
I had the decided benefit of meeting Mr. and Mrs. Mroz when they were the parents of teenagers and through my lifelong friendship with Christine have had the privilege of seeing each of Mr. and Mroz's children grow into (really remain) the amazing loving incredible people they are.
I remember Mr. Mroz as kind, loving, and generous. He never hesitated to share his love of all of you or shied from showing true emotion. He beamed when he saw you. What a blessed man.
Mr. Mroz will remain a light and a guide. I hope he rests in heaven, because he deserves every second of paradise.
Love to all of you,
Joanie Nockels

Dear Cousins,
I will miss 'Geno' very much. I was always so proud to introduce him as my Uncle, or when he would introduce me as his nephew.
He was always thinking of others first. I will never forget how he would say to me, "If you ever need help in anyway, if you don't come to me first, I will be upset with you".
He was a very special man. I enjoyed his company immensely. I will always keep him in my prayers, and I will continue to be very proud when I honor his memory in the future.
Now that he is with your Mom in Heaven, maybe the Cubs will get some 'special spiritual help'!

I visited Gene about two weeks before his death, and memories of the many years we worked together on various committees rushed back to me.
May choirs of angels welcome him into paradise and may you, his loved ones, be filled with peace.

I had the privilege of working with Gene at LaSalle National Bank. I was a young man just starting out in supervision and Gene freely gave of his time and knowledge to help me along. I was a graduate of Gordon Technical and he of Weber, so we had many good nature discussions about the merits and virtues of each school. Not unexpectedly, we never came to an agreement.
I was able to keep in touch with Gene after I left LaSalle and later while he was at Gladstone, he became a customer of mine with another financial institution.
I will always remember him for his warmth, wit and compassion. He will be missed. My condolences go to his family. I will keep Gene in my prayers.

My deepest sympathy to the Mroz family. I worked with Mr. Mroz at GNB in the 80's (he always told me to call him Gene but Mr. Mroz stuck). We had alot of fun at the bank and great Christmas parties. I remember one time Mr. Mroz put notices in the employees paycheck envelope explaining the "hidden paycheck" with all the benefits. I thought how funny that was back then and now I understand. Another fond memory was playing hooky on a beautiful summer day driving down Milwaukee Ave. along side of Mr. Mroz in his Riviera waving to me. He caught me a few times.

To the Mroz family,
I am truly sorry to hear about your loss. Your dad was a great man. While I did not know him all to well, I can say that I heard lots of good things about him from my dad. And I really enjoyed his nice seats at Wrigley, a few times in his company. He will be missed! Your family is in my thoughts and prayers during these most difficult times.
