McGuire, Eugene J. "Gene" of Oak Park, proud Veteran of WWII U.S. Army. Beloved son of the late Eugene and Mae (nee McLaughlin), dearest brother of Annamae (the late James R.) Fitzpatrick, fond uncle of Maryann (Kenneth) Brown, James E. (Therese), Kathryn K. (Larry) Elmore, Anthony (Michele), Kevin L. (Laura), Therese M. (Frank) Mott, Jean M. (Michael) Waldron and Annemarie (Larry) Fitzpatrick, treasured grand-uncle to 21 grand-nieces and nephews. Formerly employed for 35 years by L.E. Myers Co. and also recently retired from the Oak Park Public Library. Member of many organizations namely, Knights of Columbus Hughes Council, past grand knight, St. Frances of Rome Holy Name Society, past President, St. Vincent DePaul Society, past President Cicero Food Pantry, Parish Pastoral Council and lifelong parishioner of St. Frances of Rome Church in Cicero. Funeral Monday, 9:30 a.m., from Cappetta Funeral Home, 5858 W. Roosevelt Rd., Chicago, to St. Frances of Rome Church. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Gene was a cherished friend and companion of the Jesuits on the journey of faith and service. Be assured of a special remembrance of Gene and all he held close to his heart in the good works and prayers of the Chicago Province Jesuits.

I would like to express my sympathy for the death of your brother Eugene. I taught with him in the religious education program at Frances of Rome. He was a very dedicated individual. The 8:30 Mass group prayed for him this morning.
