If this is the same Gene Helwig who managed the electric motor division of Skil Corp. back in the sixties, I would like to say that he was a good and kind man. Without his encouragement, I would not have been able to live the life I have lived. I would be very happy to share my Gene Helwig story with his family. It would make them very proud of him. If this is not the same Gene Helwig I knew, I still offer my condolences to his family.

Gerry & Cathy, so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He was truly a wonderful person. He always brought such cheer to Midwest with his visits and companion Lucy goosey.

Gene, Jerry, Cathy, Lynn ... So sorry to hear about your dad. Memories of Uncle Gene - oh how he loved to tease us when were were kids, his love of his tomato garden and always first in line for grandma's homemade sausage. Wonderful memories. Know that he is in a better place and now at peace with his sister, my Mom. You all are in my prayers.
