Shachtman, Ethel (nee Hartstein), age 81 of Northbrook; beloved wife of the late Albert; loving mother of Charlyn (Barry) Slade and Mark (Carol); adored grandma of Scott (Heather), Dan (Lori), Michael (Renee), Allison (Michael), Deena (Todd), Lori and Robin (Matthew); proud great grandmother of Victoria, Talia, Sam, Cecelia, Isabelle, Olivia, Logan and Alana; cherished sister of Fannie (Eddie) Kassel and Thelma (Irving) Katuna. Service Wednesday, 2 p.m. at Temple Chai, 1670 Checker Rd., Long Grove (1 blk West of Arlington Heights Rd.). Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
