Ethel Gordon Obituary

ETHEL GORDON was born on October 19, 1912 in Corona, New Mexico to Frances Marion and Mildred Kimmons. She went home to the Father on September 1, 2002 after 89 years of life. Grandma will be remembered as a woman of few words, and though she never really expressed herself, she was proud of her family and loved each and every member for who they were. Ethel is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lee Gordon, Sr. and son, Charles Lee Gordon, Jr. She is survived by her children, James F. Gordon and wife, Marty, Shirley Scarborough, and Keith Gordon and wife, Lynn Ellen; sister, Jean Earnest; brother, Frank Kimmons and wife, Evelyn; sister-in-law, Joyce Kimmons; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather for visitation on Tuesday, September 3, 2002 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A service to remember and celebrate Ethel's life will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2002, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of South Park Funeral Home with Reverend Wayne Calder officiating. Following the funeral service, Mrs. Gordon will be laid to rest beside her husband in the gardens of South Park Cemetery.
