I was friends with Estrella's daughter, Carol, whom I met when we both worked in the X-Ray Department at Holy Cross Hospital many years ago. I met Carol's Mom & Dad a few times & thought they were very nice to me. Although this was long ago, I still remember going to the original Giordano's pizza near their home. And, the Dad designed cutouts in cardboard to assemble boxes.

I worked with Estrella at Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago years ago. We got along well. Years later, when the two of us were parishioners at Sacred Heart Church in Palos Hills, we would see one another from time to time and catch up while talking about our experiences there.
Estrella was a wonderful person. She was kind, generous and dignified. A sweet gentle soul who will be missed by me.
God bless her and keep her safe in His embrace forever.
My sincere sympathies,
