Gross, Ernest S. beloved husband and best friend of Mary (nee Gauthier), loving father of Abby and Kenton, dear brother of Charlene (the late Dr. Paul) Carstons and Harriet (Leslie) Rosenthal, devoted son of the late Sidney and Anne Gross. Graveside services, Friday, 12 noon at Waldheim Jewish Cemetery (18th & Harlem) N. Riverside. Dear Mary, there aren't many words right now, but I know you understand what I am feeling and thinking. Ernie loved you very much...you were so good to him through the years. I now hope you will hold your treasured memories of your life together close to your heart. My heart is heavy...and yet so empty...but I too will refill it with Memories of Ernie from kindergarten to the night of the reunion when we talked until five in the morning. When we spoke a couple of weeks ago...I couldn't have known the end would be so close...but he hinted and we said our tearful goodbye...thank you for being so special and loving to Ernie...he loved you so.
My sincerest sympathy and love to you, Abby and Kenton.

Mary, our thoughts are with you and the kids. Secondary thoughts are memories of bridge and golf and laughter! We have to be in Kentucky tomorrow so we will try to touch base upon return Sunday.
