Eric Shannon Obituary

I knew Eric from baseball umpiring. He was one of the few that would come out and work league play for our league, and as Mark Cass said, he worked our state tournament every year. It was always a pleasure to sit around after games were over and shoot the breeze with him. He had the best stories and could keep you laughing for hours. My prayers go out to his entire family, what a sudden and tragic loss. He will be truly missed. RIP Big E

I am so thankful to have known Eric and loved having him help us each year for the state baseball tournament. Three weeks ago I was disappointed when I had heard he wouldn't be available to help us out this year because of another event. I always looked forward to spending time after games visiting with him and having a good laugh. He will be missed. I will keep him and his family in my prayers for some time.

To the entire family of Eric I am saddened by your loss. Eric was a good friend in our childhood days especially during the summers when he stayed at Paul and Angie's. I had not seen Eric in many years but we recently started talking about umpiring war stories via text. Baseball was a passion. We hoped some day to work a game together. I wish you and your family the best.
