Enid Roth Obituary

Aunt Enid,
Dearheart, you made such an impact on our family. There are not enough thanks we can extend for your every kindness, vivacity, and joy you shared in the stories of your travels with Herbie, Adrienne, and Robert. You lit up a room with your delightful personality. We know you're our angel!

Aunt Enid was a kind, caring, loving, and warm person. She is my father´s youngest sister. We miss her, her laugh, and her presence dearly. We had many great times together and we will continue to honor her.

I honorably thank my aunt Enid to a 2 year tribute for everything she has done for many of us. My family proudly honors her on making the talis bags for me and my brother's Bar Mitzvahs and we couldn't been happy enough she put all the hard work into them. In 2017, it was the year when my Bar mitzvah had began. She would walk up the stairs to offer me my talis before I begin reading the Torah. I done so wonderful with reading it and not only I impressed my friends, family, and relatives. She was so proud of me and I gave her a hug in return before we did the celebration party after the service. However in July 4th of 2018, she comfort me when I was very sad about losing Grandpa Marty on Independence day and I accepted her support in realized she felt the same way as I did. Then on September 11th of 2019, there came the point I was struck heartbroken when our family heard of aunt Enid had sadly passed away. I was in tears and in depression knowing that I really was going to miss her forever. In February 2020, after I had turned 16, my family had decided to take a trip to Chicago to visit the burial site to pay our very respects to our beloved aunt Enid and left her to rest peacefully in heaven with our Great grandmas; Nana Mae & Bubbie Elaine, and with Grandpas; Richard & Marty. We then celebrated Hershal's Bar Mitzvah as a remembrance to her. Till now in the summer of the year 2021, after my dad & his friend, Peter, lost their beloved companion, Ken, in April 25th. She was ever so happy to see me being very brave during my surgery on July 10th. It made me feel like she was there standing next to me and holding my hand as a spirit. I couldn't been ever more happy to be able to get to known you for a good while aunt Enid, and I promise I will be supporting uncle Robert, and your children; Laura, Jay & Megan. I wished you could have lived on to see my brother's Bar Mitzvah in 2022, just like Grandpa Marty & Ken would have. You were a wonderful aunt for me and my brother including our cousins; Stella, Asher, and Eli, an amazing wife to uncle Robert, and a caring mother to your children; Laura, Jay & Megan. My last words to you are..."Farewell, my dear aunt Enid. Connor and I will keep the talis bags you have made for us not only as special gifts from you, but as loving memories of you. We will miss you dearly, but we will never forget your dedication, support and care for many of us. We all love you very much and we'll remember the good times we have been there for you. Don't worry, I will bring a special gift for you to when we visit Chicago again soon. May you rest peacefully in heaven with those who we have truly lost in our hearts, and I will always still be here in my home, looking up at the clouds, thinking of the good memories about you..." Amen...

Dear Enid.
You were my first friend when I moved from Ithaca n.y. to IIT.
I went down with Danit to the play ground and you were there with Laura.
We hit it off right away. Once you heard that I am an Israeli we really felt connected, so much that you invited us for lunch that same day.
We became close friends. I tought you how to drive. To practice we drove from IIT to Kaufman's in Skokie for some bagels. I tought you how to sew, and you made beautiful garments for your kids.
We had a lot of fun together spending a lot of time with our husbands and children.
You were a great friend who opened your home to us and made it easy for me to live in America.
I love you and I will miss you forever.

Everyone loved Enid. She was a great lady.
Caring, funny, sweet, smart are only a few of her many wonderful qualities. We (Sheldon and I) and many others will greatly miss Enid.
