Elsie Pohl Obituary

Pohl, Elsie K. age 95, of Naperville, formerly of Cicero and Sycamore, IL. At rest Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at her home. She was born on April 4, 1911 in Chicago, IL. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine (John) Benisek of Scottsdale, AZ; her two grandchildren, John (Pam) Benisek of Chandler, AZ, Susanne (Tim) Atkins of Naperville, IL; her four great-grandchildren, Emily and Annalee Benisek, Jack and Tommy Atkins; her brother, James (Doris) Kren of Cary, IL; and two nieces and a nephew. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Anna; her step-father, Joseph Houda; her husband, John and one sister, Adeline Vasko. Elsie moved to Independence Village in 2001, and truly enjoyed living there. She attended SS. Peter & Paul Church. Elsie will be remembered as being a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and dear friend. The family would like to say thank you to Elsie's caregiver, Lourdes Agustin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 769, Hillside, IL 60162. Visitation Friday, November 10th, from 3 to 8 p.m., at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 11, 2006, at 11 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 36 N. Ellsworth Street, Naperville, IL.
