Eloise Gorman Obituary
Eloise C. Gorman, a former Barstow resident and former base worker as a Preservation, Packaging worker for over 20 years, went back to be with the Lord, the new heavenly house, on April 22, 2009. After medical retirement, she resided on the Navajo Reservation.
The funeral will be Monday, April 27, 2009 in Gallup, N.M. at Cape Memorial Chapel of Gallup, 1830 Barbara Ave., Gallup, N.M. 87301.
Preceding Eloise was Steve Gorman, her husband of many years, living in Daggett and also a former base employee and World War II veteran. Steve and Eloise organized the Navajo Club to help the local Navajo community school children with clothing under the Navajo clothing program. The two helped Indians in many ways.
Eloise is survived by her children, Veronica Kennedy of Phoenix, Ariz. and her two children, and Frank Gorman of Houck, Ariz. and his three children, Francis, Mark, Marsha. She also leaves behind sisters, Stella Chischilly and Nel Baldwin of Arizona; and Henry Allen of Daggett, her brother.
