Dear Uncle Hotsie, Louie, David, Francie and Diane,
I will always smile when I think of Aunt Ellen with her loving but strong demeanor as she embraced her matriarchal role and planned the yearly Walsh family reunions. The one thing that all of the extended family could depend upon was that Ellen would be there with her inexhaustible desire for us all to gather, share food, laughter and stories, revel in the history of the Walsh family and marvel each year at the new members added to our extensive list.
When my dad passed away Aunt Ellen was an unwavering strength and I will always remember the love, care and friendship she gave my mom. To each of you now I offer my love, my prayers and my deep appreciation of what Ellen meant to me, and to all of us.
Love, Gina

I first want to say that even with her passing, my grandmother is bringing our family together. I’ll never forget the pizza or pasta nights at her and my grandfather's house, sitting at the “kiddy” table and my grandmother coming in every ten minutes to make sure we were all satisfied. She was the rock of our family, always making appearances at soccer, hockey, basketball, etc. games and concerts. She always told me how lucky I was. "You're so lucky to have this view," she would say sitting on the deck of the cottage. The first time she met my girlfriend Magda she told me how lucky I was to find someone so pretty and nice, and how lucky I was to have such a great family. I just hope she knows how truly lucky I was to have an amazing grandmother in my life like her. So many were touched by her caring and kind ways. She will be in my heart and on my mind everyday of my life and will be missed beyond belief. Grandma, I love you, God Bless. Daniel

I am just learning of Ellen's passing. I am so deeply saddened by this news. I would have wanted to be there to say goodbye. There isnt enough space in this guest book for me to fairly express how much she meant to me, how much I loved her. My heart is breaking for all who were touched by her kindness, her compassion, her love. It's been a very long time since seeing her last but she always stayed in my mind and in my heart. We would stay in touch through the years just to wish each other a Merry Christmas, to catch up on our lives. I always felt connected to her in a way that only she knew. Ellen, I wish I had the opportunity to see you again...to hug you and look in your gental eyes and tell you how much you have meant to me all these years. I believe you knew anyway. My deepest condolences to Hotsy and the family. I feel so blessed to have known this wonderful woman who we will all miss so very much.

No one could ask to know a more wonderful person. I was blessed to marry her beautiful daughter and have Ellen become my mother-in-law. I am truely honored to be part of such a wonderful family and to have spent 32 years having Ellen as my second mother. I wish you had lived long enough to get to know your first great-grandson Lucas born August 23rd.
I will miss you.
Until we meet again on the other side, all my love.
Butch
