Elizabeth Spence Obituary

Mrs. Elizabeth Spence, age 85, passed away April 27, 2008. She was born Aug. 30, 1922, in Walton County, Fla., to Dave and Rebecca Brown Evans.
Mrs. Spence had been a resident of Pensacola, Fla., moving from DeFuniak Springs, Fla. She was Baptist by faith and a member of the Southwide Baptist Church. She enjoyed taking care of her family and attending church.
Mrs. Spence was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Floyd Spence.
Mrs. Spence is survived by her two sons, Tommy Spence and wife Amanda of Houston, Texas, and Mike Spence and wife Cindy of DeFuniak Springs, Fla.; a daughter, Judy Carnley and husband Lee of Pensacola; a sister, Eddie Lou Hackett of DeFuniak Springs; five grandchil-dren, Tom Spence and wife Dee, Renee Simpson and husband Dean, Jana White and husband Robert, Alvin Spence and Christopher, and three great-grandchildren, Dakota Simpson, Jude Simpson and R.J. White.
Visitation services will be from 9 to 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at Southwide Baptist Church, 1307 County Highway 278, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at Southwide Baptist Church, with Tom Spence officiating.
Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the Southwide Baptist Church Highway 278, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435.
Pallbearers are Lyle Seigler, Robert Seigler, Jimmy Brannon, Bob Butler, M.A. Bjorklund and Izaias Camara.
Burial will follow in the Southwide Cemetery.
