To the whole family, just know my thoughts and prayers are with you.
I was so saddened to hear the news about Elizabeth. She was such a sweet & kind person. Always had a smile on her face when I saw her and would do anything to help you if she could. She always had a lot on her plate but never seemed to complain.
George, I know you will miss her tremendously, as all the family will.
Just ask God to give you strength and he will help you through it.

Liz was a wonderful lady. We will miss her. She was the absolute expert on anything relating to women's health, and children's health. She worked tirelessly to help others receive health care. She is gone from us "too soon". Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and we hope that you will take comfort and great pride in knowing that her life here was dedicated to meaningful and much needed service to her fellow man,

I worked with "Liz", briefly in Athens with HHSC-public service. I transferred, however I enjoyed her laugh and friendly spirt she displayed in the office. She was a great team-player and she will be missed by the agency and her clients. She also had been a co-worker to my mother at the public health district and she made it her business to introduce herself to me. May God comfort the family, because he is a present help in these times. Philenia Brooks, Texas Health/Human Services Commission.

Elizabeth, a true friend and champion of public health has been lost to this world. She and I worked together on many projects and I learned a tremendous amount of information from her. I also learned how hard she worked to help others get access to health care. She was passionate about her programs and as the Director of Community Outreach Assistance she touched many lives. Her work with the Komen Foundation helped thousands of women get access to care. Liz helped roll out the Childrens Health Insurance Program (CHIP) in Smith County and later in the 14 counties covered by the HHSC grant. She worked as a personal advocate for each and every person represented by their application for health care. Liz set the standard for public health fairs and outreach activities. She motivated me to help with the Mission of Mercy Dental Program (at 5:30 a.m. in the morning!) and work health fairs on the weekends and evenings. I was proud she was hired away by the State of Texas to continue her work to help others get access to health care, but sad to lose her from the Health District.
She will me missed by family, friends and fellow public health professionals. Her hard work and dedication will lives on in each person she helped along the way during her life. May God bless her family and comfort them now and always. Sincerely, Brenda Elrod, R.S.

I believe Liz was the hardest working person that I have known in my 45 years in the world of work. She knew there was so much to do and so many in need of her expertise with Access to Care. For those who do not know, she worked above and beyond in her support of me and the Northeast Texas Public Health District. Late nights processing claims and early morning trips to Austin to hand deliver a vital grant were just a part of the job to her....a necessary action. She will be sorely missed by many. May God continue to bless Liz and be with her family at this time of both joy and sorrow.

I always enjoyed seeing and working with Liz at health-related events and as a passionate colleague and partner in public health. She was kind-hearted and dedicated to helping people get the information they needed for better health care. Her energy was inspiring. I will miss her ready smile and warm friendship.
