Plaszczewski, Elizabeth L. "Betty" (nee Schranz), age 66, a resident of Bolingbrook, IL, since 1972, formerly of Justice and Summit, IL, died Monday, November 17, 2008, at her home. She was born October 23, 1942 in Chicago, IL, loving wife of Robert C. Plaszczewski, whom she married February 12, 1972, beloved mother of Dawn (Douglas) Yorke, Karen (Jerry) Linich and the late fraternal twins, David and Diane Plaszczewski, adored grandmother of Colin, McKenna, Kyleen and Delaney, devoted daughter of Rose (nee Haderer) Schranz, dear sister of Robert (Mary) Schranz, William (Nancy) Schranz, James (the late Norma) Schranz, Carol (Karl) Sicinski and the late Elaine Schranz and Dorothy (Stan) Rycyzyn, fond aunt, great-aunt and friend to many. Visitation Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1500 Brookdale Rd., Naperville. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the church. Interment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville. In lieu of flowers, memorials to: St. Thomas Hospice OR American Lung Association of Illinois-Greater Chicago.
