Elizabeth Dosa Obituary

DOSA Elizabeth Farkas Dosa, age 82, of Fairfield, wife of the late George Dosa, died suddenly on Friday, March 5, 2004, at her home. Born in Bridgeport, on July 20, 1921, to the late Louis and Barbara Dancsak Farkas, Mrs. Dosa was a Fairfield town resident for most of her life. She was a retired executive secretary for the Handy and Harmon Co., where she had worked for 48 years. Mrs. Dosa was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, a church greeter and had been a Reunion Committee member for Bassick High School. She is survived by her brother, Stephen Farkas of Fairfield; her sister, Barbara Bakach and her husband, Joseph, of Bridgeport; a nephew, Joseph Bakach Jr.; a niece, Barbara Ferrer and her husband, Rodrigo of Cromwell, and their children, Rodrigo, Christian and Sara. She was predeceased by her brother, Louis Farkas. Betty will be lovingly remembered as a classy lady, who loved good people, good food and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. in the Frank Polke & Son Funeral Home, 1546 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport, and at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Burial to follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Calling hours will be held on Sunday (TODAY) from 3 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of the Assumption Church.

Betty will be sorely missed. She was a very sweet, kind and thoughtful lady and I am glad that I knew her. I am unable to be there today but she and the family are in my thoughts.
