Lewis, Elisabeth Jaffe wife of the late Philic C. Lewis, mother of Leslie Lewis and Lydia and Lewis, grandmother of Sara Aceves and Rachel Aceves, sister of Mildred (the late Abraham) Debensky, Anita (the late Edward) Seyler and the late Herbert Jaffe, devoted daughter of the late Max and Celia. Services were held in New Jersey. The family will be receiving condolence calls in Chicago on Sunday. Adieu to my beautiful mother. She had a generous, open soul. I received so many gifts through knowing her: my love of reading, art, mysteries, beauty, honesty, good character, lack of prejudice. I will miss her.
