I first remember my Aunt Lisa from the time she came to the US with my Uncle Ted and Mary Ann. Mary Ann was just an infant then and we lived on 24th Ave at the time. Jean and our kids would visit her at the Bellwood house and still have pictures of them with her.
Back in the mid-70's I even had a chance to visit with her in her home town in Germany. Enjoyed the festival
with her and her family. We had a great time.
We will continue to have fond memories of her as we remember a strong, faithfull and loving person.
We all look forward to seeing you again in the presence of our Savior.

Oma was my mom-in-law, but over the years, she also became one of my closest friends.
For a number of years I would spend a couple hours a week hanging out with her, and doing errands. Toward the end of Oma's life my husband and I wanted to make sure she didn't drive because her mind had begun to get confused. That's when I started spending even more time with Oma.
We had a blast together, we were always joking around. In a lot of ways, we were two peas in a pod.
I thank God for my friendship with Oma. I am grateful that because of my husband's hard work that I did not have to get a full-time job and so I was able to take care of my mom-in-law for such a long time.
I will miss her terribly. She was one of a kind, and I loved her.
