How strange, I never read the death notices. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time. Some people we never forget.

We will miss Uncle Elgo. He was always willing to give us a hand if we had a need. How can we forget his smile and his sense of humor? You three should be proud of how happy you made him, especially through his waning years. God Bless you, Uncle!

DEAR MEL AND FAMILY,
WHEN MY MOTHER TOLD ME THAT ELGO HAD PASSED AWAY,MY HEART HURT. IT SEEMS THAT EVERYONE SPREADS OUT AND TENDS TO THERE LIVES AND PEOPLE JUST SLOWLY DRIFT APART. I AM LUCKY, BECAUSE MY PARENTS KEEP ME UPDATED AS TO WHAT IS GOING ON IN ELMWOOD PARK. PLUS,WE WOULD SEE YOU OCCASIONLY(AND BY ACCIDENT),WHEN OUT TO DINNER. THE LAST TIME WE SAW THE TWO OF YOU,WAS SUCH AN OCCASION,AND HE TEASED ME BECAUSE HE HAD MORE HAIR THAN I DID,AND WE ALL KNOW HE DIDN'T HAVE MUCH! I HAVE SUCH WONDERFUL MEMORIES OF YOU AND HE,THE SHOWS WE DID TOGETHER,AND OUR TRIPS TO ACAPULCO,THE WARS OF RAZOR SHARP WIT AND COMEBACKS WITH HIM ARE AMONGST THE BEST TIMES OF MY LIFE. I AM HONORED,TO KNOW YOU,MEL,AND TO HAVE KNOWN HIM.YOU ALL HAVE TOUCHED MY LIFE,AND KNOWING YOU HAS MADE ME A BETTER PERSON.I'M SURE WHEN WE ALL MEET UP IN HEAVEN(OR CLOSE TO IT),HE'LL HAVE SOME ZINGERS,AND THE BANTERING WILL CONTINUE.IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN DO,PLEASE,LET ME KNOW! LOVE,
BETH,LAURICE&ANGEL
