Eleanor Stroud Obituary

Eleanor E. Stroud, 106, formerly of Bethlehem and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Cape May, New Jersey, died Monday, December 15 in Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth, where she resided. She was the wife of the late J. Durant Stroud, who died in 1982, Basil M. Graham, who died in 1972, and Howard A. Lehman, who died in 1939.

She was a former receptionist for Lehigh University.

Born in Steelton, Dauphin County on November 6, 1897, Eleanor was a daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah (Boyer) Earle.

She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Bethlehem, and was a member of the Saucon Valley Country Club and Cape May Yacht Club.

Eleanor is survived by two daughters, Eleanor “Lee” L. Vold of Mahwah, New Jersey, and Barbara “Bobbie” L. Dunlap of Baltimore, Maryland; a brother Robert Earle of Decatur, Georgia; seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Monday, December 29, at 2:00 p.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church, 44 E. Market Street, Bethlehem. Interment will be private in Nisky Hill Cemetery.
