Eileen Sheahan Obituary

Sheahan, Eileen Deborah

Eileen Deborah Sheahan, 22, of Evanston, IL, was born into this world on November 17, 2001, and born into eternal peace on January 27, 2024. Eileen tragically passed away due to a skiing accident in Colorado. She was the loving daughter of Patricia (Patti) nee O'Brien and Terrence (TJ) Sheahan. She was the incredible big sister to Erin, Margaret and Michael. She was idolized by all her cousins who saw her as a sister, including the Hendricks cousins: Michael, Brian (Christine), Eddie (Jess), Molly (Joe Centlivre); Caplice cousins: Nell (Sam Dickie) and Mac; O'Brien cousins: Patrick, Carlin and Shaun; O'Malley cousins: Courtney (Ryan Leonard), Molly, Shea, Ryan, Tara, Brennan, Annie and Meg; Sheahan cousins: Morgan, Lee, Caroline, Tommy, Mick, Elle, Lila, Owen and Paddy. She was the adored niece to: Kathy and Tom Caplice, Mariellen and Mike Hendricks, Jim and Karen O'Brien, Katie and Tom O'Malley, Michael Sheahan, Pam Munizzi, Tim and Debbie Sheahan, Ryan and Anne Sheahan, and Patrick and Renee Sheahan. She was the cherished granddaughter of Mike and Nancy Sheahan, and the late Pat and Debbie O'Brien, whom she has joined in heaven.

Eileen attended grade school at St. Joan of Arc (now The Academy at St. Joan of Arc) in Evanston and high school at Loyola Academy in Wilmette. She was a senior at the University of Michigan, ready to graduate in May with a degree in Economics. Eileen often talked about how fortunate she was to attend each school because of the friends that she made.

Eileen had the most profound effect on those around her during her short time on earth. She was graceful, kind, hilarious, beautiful and brilliant. She had boundless energy and was the consummate doer. She always put her family, friends and others first. She was a rock to so many, and a bright light wherever she was. Eileen had a smile like no other and eyes as blue as the ocean. She had an amazing sense of style, but was salt of the earth. She loved to cook, laugh and find adventure. She enjoyed the opportunity to travel throughout Europe last year while spending a semester studying in Barcelona, Spain. Eileen truly loved life and those fortunate enough to call her a friend. Her love, laughter and compassion will never be forgotten.

I tried a case in front of judge sheahan a year ago. She was calm and respectful. Everyone in the courtroom admired and respected her.

If Eileen is anything like her mother, she must have been wonderful. I am so sorry for your loss. God bless the parents and family.
