Dear Bisinger Family, My father, Rufus "Bud" Hook, served with your dad in the battle of Attu in the aleutian islands. Your Dad actually saved my dad's life. My father passed away young in 1981, but Ed and Daisy kept in touch with my mom Peggy Hook for many years. Mom passed away at 94 in 2012. I talked to your dad some years ago after I ran across info my dad had about the memories of their army days. I thanked him for saving his life as he relived that infamous day in the aleutian islands. I am deeply sorry for your loss, but am sure Ed is watching the Cubs play in the world series.
