Wells, Edward C. age 85, longtime resident of Skokie. Beloved husband of Paula; Dear father and grandfather of Janet Ann (John) Koy and Family; Fond son of the late Gale and Emma Wells of Peoria. Visitation Monday, from 3 to 8 p.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie. Funeral Tuesday, 9:15 a.m., from the funeral home, for Mass, 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter Church, Skokie. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. Memorial contributions may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Illinois Chapter, 910 W. Dearest Paula,
There are really no words to say about a man who has known me since I am 6 weeks old. You both are beyond dear friends; you are truly extended family. There are such great memories of being your neighbor until I relocated to south Florida, and keeping in contact all these years. It was the next best thing to being right there. It's so hard to believe it has been almost 4 years since I've seen you both.
You were such a staple in Ed's life. You stood by him every moment, to the very end. You were his true blessing and I know deep in my heart, he knew that too.
I will speak to you soon, dear friend. My love and prayers are with you.
