Steineke Jr., Edward Frederick passed away at home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 30, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Edward and Marie Steineke. He married his wife, Dolores, and they celebrated 47 years of marriage and unconditional love. They raised their three children in Hoffman Estates, IL. Ed served in the Army. He worked for the Schaumburg Police Department when they first started. He made his living working as a mason. Ed loved bowling, playing cards with his best friends, and watching hockey, football and baseball. Ed dedicated his life to his family and friends. He is survived by his children, Ed (Winnie), Karen (Steve), and Richard (Jeni), his grandchildren Lindsey (Nate), Pamela (Steve), Eddy, Brett, Brittany, Joey, and Jack. Service and interment are private.

My sympathies to your family. I knew your father from from childhood to an adult. My father is Robert Slawik, brother of Dick. I remember Ed well from the Riv-Rollers picnics and the Edison bowling league. He was a great guy and will be missed.

Please add my sympathy to the family. I am also a second cousin now living in California. My mother was Ida O'Connell. I haven't seend Eddie for many years. I will always remember his smile and warmth to family, even though years passed between visits.
