Stanek, Edward J. age 61, Vietnam Veteran, beloved husband of 37 years to Alice (nee Syrovatka), loving father of Allison Stanek, Steve (Kelly), Brian "Butch" (Dawn), and Dawn Stanek, dearest brother of Martin Stanek, Patricia (Robert) Gjertsen, Christine (late George) Koranek, and Darlene Stanek, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews, many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Retired from the U.S. Government, General Service Administration. Member of the V.F.W. Post# 231. Funeral Thursday, 10:00 a.m. from WOLNIAK FUNERAL HOME, 5700 South Pulaski Road to St. Simon the Apostle Church for 10:45 a.m. Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. To the Stanek Family
Rest In Peace, Eddy. Our family will always remember the days of old when you and Larry were always with Bushia on 48th St. You were such a great person and was always there to help my grandmother. You were a part of our family and you became a great family man and I will always remember you for the kind and gentle man you were. Our prayers are with you now and there will be no more suffering.
