WWII U.S. Marine Veteran, died February 19, 2005, at home, beloved husband of Mary Alice (nee McKerr), loving father of Dereck (Theresa) Murphy, Michael (Michelle), Kathy (Mark) Rowley, and E. Scott (Leslie), proud grandfather of 17, great-grandfather of 20, preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius and Ellen, his sister, Rita (Bing) Cox and His brother, Art, also survived by sisters, Dolores (Jack) Hart, Ellen (Jack) McNally, and Virginia Ryan, many nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Oak Lawn Elks Lodge. Visitation 3 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th Street, Countryside. Funeral Mass, 11 a.m., Wednesday, at St. Cletus Church, LaGrange. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
