I was fortunate to have Mr. Petan as my 8th grade teacher at Ravenswood School class of 1975. He was a great role model for me. It was because of him that I earned a perfect score on the constitution test which required a passing grade for graduation. I always loved when he would play the piano in our class and in the assembly hall such as he did for graduation commencement. I always felt safe when he was around. He kept our class in order. I appreciate the study of history because of his lectures in our 8th grade class up on the second floor at the end of the hall.
When I think of a model teacher, Mr. Petan is the person who I still feel defined that title. There were three teachers throughout my years in school that influenced me. Edward Petan is number one.
Peace Mr. Petan and thank you.
