Edward Lauterbach Obituary

Lauterbach, Edward G. 80, of Glenview, October 3rd, beloved husband of 55 years to Virginia, loving father of Ed and Steve (Annette), cherished grandfather of Tim, Amy and Matthew, fond brother of the late Carlos. Edward was a Master Sgt. in the Army Transportation Corps where he was a First Mate on Seagoing Vessels. Wood craftsman, ship builder for the Panama Canal, graduate of IIT, Professional Engineer at Teletype Corp for 30 years, former President of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers and a member of the Panama Elk's Lodge. He also had a passion for sailing his own handcrafted 19 foot sloop. Visitation Sunday, 4 to 8 p.m. at N. H. Scott & Hebblethwaite Funeral Home, 1240 Waukegan Rd., Glenview (two blocks south of Lake Ave. on west side). Funeral from the funeral home Monday, 10:30 a.m., to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, corner of Church and Grove Sts., Glenview, for Mass at 11 a.m. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery.
