Gerhart, Edward L. beloved husband of the late Dorothy (nee McFarlane-Morrissey), loving stepfather of the late Robert D. McFarlane, dearest son of the late Edward and May (nee Fox) Gerhart, devoted brother of Veronica "Ronnie" Gerhart, and Robert Gerhart, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. a cherished brother-in-law and friend of many. Ed will also be missed by his faithful companion "Corky". A veteran US. Army WWII, a member of the Mark White VFW Post #6870 and a Fourth Degree Member of Madonna Council and K of C #1135 Joseph A. Power Assembly and a retired 40 year employee of Thomas McInerney's Sons Funeral Home, Funeral Thursday, 9:15 a.m. from Thomas McInerney's Sons Funeral Home, 4635 S. Wallace St., (46th Place at McInerney's Corners), to St. Gabriel Church, for Mass of the Resurrection at 10 a.m. Visitation Wednesday, 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. 773-268-0703.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

I am the great niece of Edward's father Ed. I grew up with Edward's brother Bob before his death at age 12. I have heard many stories of your family from my father, Bernard Burns. He was the son of Ida Gerhart, Ed's oldest sister. My family sends your family our condolences.
