It's hard to believe that it has been ten years since the Lord took you home Dad. There is not a day that goes by that you are not missed. I often wonder what you would think of how much this world has changed since then.
Your grandson's have grown up to wonderful young men. I know that your influence in their lives had a lot to do with that. They are both married now and have beautiful wives. You would be so proud of them. They are both loving husbands like you were to mom. I hope they will both have a long and happy marriage like you and mom had. I know mom misses you so much, as do we all.

Love and miss you Dad!

Sorry to read about Ed's passing. We spent our early years together growing up in Druce Lake and attending Druce Lake Grade School. Our parent were friends and spent hours visiting and playing cards. Last time I saw Ed and his mom was at my mother's funeral in 1968. Have thought of the DuBrock family many times throughout the years, my sympathy and prayers are with you.

Dear Family,

We learned of Ed's passing and wanted to let you know that even as far away as Alaska, Ed will be remembered fondly by his extended family. My dad, Bill Dubrock was Harold's older brother. Eddy and I are first cousins. From time to to time during our childhood years we were able to get together with Eddy and his brothers. Ed was closest in age to me. I just turned 72 this week. I remember Ed as a really physical guy. I was a stringy teen and he was a quite a muscular guy. It doesn't surprise me to learn of his love for wrestling!

I left the Chicago area for school and never really returned to the area after that so our paths did not cross in later life.

We extend our sincerest condolences to the family.

As I sit here pondering how to describe what a wonderful man Poppy was, I realized that there would not be enough room on this page to write all of them. He simply was an amazing man with a heart of gold. Over the years he has been such an inspiration to so many of us, and we have all benefited from his wisdom and knowledge. Most of all, we have all been blessed to have had Ed touch our lives. My two son's Josh and Alex I think have been blessed the most to have had this wonderful man as their grandfather. I know that they as much he enjoyed their long talks especially about wrestling. I never quite figured out if Poppy had always liked wrestling or if he started watching it when he and mom use to babysit the boys. All I know is that it formed a wonderful bond between the three of them. My life has also been blessed, because Poppy was the best father in-law a girl could have asked for. His love and support over these past few years has meant more to me than he will ever know. I will miss the light that he has shined so brightly into our lives. While time does eventually heal all heartache, it will take a long time to fill emptiness that the legacy of Ed DuBrock has left behind. Our memories and love for him will keep him alive in our hearts forever. You will always be loved and deeply missed dad. Until we meet again, love your loving daughter in-law Deeanna.

Edward DuBrock was my dad. He taught Ron and myself so much.

Changing a flat tire, checking the oil, he was a teacher to us. He taught us respect especially our elders, compassion, helping others, etc.

He had a wonderful memory of our ancestors. He could tell stories about the crazy things my grandma and grandpa or gramma Bierhaus did.

He loved learning anything about the wars and battles of the world and could tell us great stories. He was a great encyclopedia.

He loved guns and there histories.

He could fix anything. He was so handy around the house. He was always working on projects.

The love of his life, Sandra. Growing up they never hid the affection that they had for each other. When we would go to bed, we kissed both mom and dad. We kissed and hugged a lot!

We would talk to him about anything that was on our minds. He was a great listener.

I could go on forever about my dad, he was so special to me and he was my hero because of the way he lived his life and raised his kids teaching us the good and bad of life and how to deal with it. And how to love one another.

Thank you all that have or will have written a memmory about my dad. God bless you all.

I WAS AT THE YMCA TODAY WHEN I LEARNED OF ED'S PASSING. ED WAS VERY SPECIAL PERSON, FOR MORE REASONS THAN I CAN LIST HERE. DOZENS OF PEOPLE AT THE Y ALONE ARE VERY THANKFUL THAT HE WAS PART OF OUR LIVES, AND NONE MORE THAN I.I'VE INCLUDED A PICTURE OF ED WITH A FEW OF THOSE PEOPLE/FRIENDS/ED'S FAN CLUB MEMBERS. IF YOU LOOK CLOSE YOU'LL SEE THAT HE WAS SLYLY TAKING A PICTURE OF ME, TAKING A PICTURE OF HIM.
