I was a fraternity brother of Ed at NIU. Ed was the greatest...no he was more..he was a legend. Some of my best memories of college are thanks to Ed. Ed always made you feel welcome and had that infectious smile and sense of humor. He was the person that everyone wanted to be around. He was the encourager when I needed encouragement and someone that I could talk to about the more serious things of life as college students are prone to need.
Ed had a most positive influence on my life and I know many others. My prayers and condolences to his family and trust that your Christian Faith will give you hope and comfort at this time

My husband (Jack) and I send our deepest sympathies to Ed's family. He was a voice of reason in a frequently irrational world. Especially during monthly during our monthly SCPS meetings! He was such a great guy. He will be missed.

My wife, Allison, and I knew Ed from our many mutually shared years at SSA. I worked with Ed as a Senior Claims Processing Specialist for a good number of those years. When things got difficult, Ed would always add that needed perspective. He was one of the best. He always spoke lovingly of his family and I wish them the very best.

Eddie and I met in DeKalb in 1969 and became fast friends. Life was good and cares were few so we enjoyed life to the fullest. The years have separated us, but could not erase the memories and the stories will continue as long as his friends can gather.
RIP buddy, you will be missed.

Ed Czajkowski was like a mentor for me at work in Module 18 of SSA. He had the most peculiar jokes and I always told him he missed his calling..."Stand Up Comedian." I did not know him in his youth but if he was anything like he was in his elder years, I can only imagine the tears of laughter and good times he shared with so many. Rest in Peace Ed.

Mara, I am so sorry to hear that Ed has died. It seems it wasn't that long ago when we were all working together at GLPSC as Benefit Authorizers. Time passes quickly. I hope that you and your children have many fond memories of Ed that will help you through this difficult time.

A dear friend from NIU days and my post-college roommate, Eddie and I enjoyed many good times, including road trips to Stevens Point and I.U. and parties galore. He brought joy and happiness to everyone who knew him, a great guy.

I also knew Eddie in college through my late husband, Pat O'Brien. Eddie was a great friend and a very funny person. I send my condolences to his family on the loss of a husband and a father.

We were friends, roommates and fraternity brothers long ago in college, but Ed has left an indelible impression on my life. He could speak the truth directly in few words and would watch out for his friends. When it was time for enthusiasm, Ed was your guy. Knowing Ed has been a treasure for life.
