Busse, Edward beloved husband of Bernadette (nee Dore); loving father of Bruce (Karen) and Karen (Walter) Rugg; devoted grandfather of Brian Busse and Peter (Rachel) Rugg and great-grandfather of Bradley and Cara Busse; dear brother of Emil and Ozzie; fond uncle of many. Visitation Tuesday, 3 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, 10 to 11 a.m. at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E. Irving Park Rd. (at Prospect), Itasca. Interment Mt. Emblem Cemetery. Longtime resident of Itasca, graduate of Lane Tech High School, WWII Coast Guard Veteran, longtime member of Elmhurst VFW. Doctor of Optometry. Retired inspector from Northrup Industries, Bowman Dairy and Arlington Heights Dairy. For funeral info., 630-250-8588.

I am one of Ed's neighbors who lived across the street from him. On those fortunate days when I saw Ed, he was consistently friendly and sweet to me and I will always remember his warm smile. I also will always admire him for his health-conscious attitude and his vitality. May God bless his family in this time of sorrow.

Kate, Joe, Cara Kate, and I send our thoughts and prayers to you on the loss of Uncle Ed. He was a great guy and I will always remember his good natured teasing.
