Dear Margie, We're sorry you lost your mother. I recall her as a feisty lady, ahead of her time. I heard about her death from Barbara (see message). Unfortunately, it took the untimely death of Carol Coopersmith Boehm (2-28 and 2-29-04 notices) for us to find each other's new e-mail addresses.

Please extend our condolences to your aunts. Marlene (Spitzner) Salberg

Dear Margie and family,

I was sorry to read about your mother's death, but she lived a long and, I think, fulfilling life. She was absolutely the most supportive of mothers, even when she didn't fully agree with you -- I remember how she drove to NU Medical Center to pick up part of your medical school application that was missing. I'm sure that she was a similarly warm and giving grandmother.

I went through my own mother's death 4 years ago, and even when it's expected and, perhaps, welcomed, it's not an easy thing. May you be comforted by your memories.
