Szlanga, Rev. Edmund Pastor Emeritus of St. Bruno Church. Cherished son of the late Vincent and Catherine (nee Wasinski), dear cousin of Alice (Edmund) Doveatt, Dorothy Handzik, the late Albina (the late Walter) Keller, Eleanore (the late Frank) Snyder and Agatha (the late Wally) Kisala. Visitation Tuesday, 6 to 9 p.m., at Modell Funeral Home, 5725 S. Pulaski Rd. Lying in state at St. Bruno Church, 4751 S. Harding Ave., Chicago, on Wednesday, from 3 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass time 11 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. 773-767-4730.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Fr. Szlanga was a good man with a good heart. I was an altar boy who assisted him at mass many a time in my years at St.Bruno. Eternal rest grant onto him O Lord,and may perpetual light shine upon him.
