Edward Wood
February 13, 2002
I First met FR. Montville in August of 1947. He at that time was in charge of the new Dorm, Holden Hall. at the University of Detroit. This was the first on campus dorm at the university. Fr. Monty was a long time friend that I will never forget. He helped many in time of need. He went out of his way to help everyone who turned to him. Father was the priest that married my wife and I over 50 years ago. We will always remember Father and and look forward to being reunited with him. We considered Father our friend and he will always have a place in our life as he has in the past. Our prayers are with Father and we will miss the correspondence that he has sent to us. Even though he was 13 years ahead of me at St Ignatius H.S. I always felt he was a classmate. Through his illustrious years at his many Jesuit assignments there will never be another to replace him.
