Chief Dobbs was the Chief of Police when I came on the job in 1971. He treated the rookies as Police Officer's & friends. He had the aura of Chief, but under that was a true gentleman and someone you could always talk to. He will be missed. God Bless.

I worked for the Chief from 1971 to 1984 at CCSPD when I left to attend law school. He was the fairest man to all his officers and always stood up for them. He will be missed. With deepest sympathy to the entire Dobbs family,

Chief Dobbs was a good friend, a fair police chief, and a gentleman. I remember him speaking with great pride and fatherly love about his daughter. I am glad to see that he was able to spend his final days in the home of this daughter, with family. God bless you.

We always used to call him "Uncle Eddie" although he wasn't our real uncle. When I was 7 yrs. old I decided I was going to marry him -- I'm now fifty-two. He was so special in my life -- I'm glad he went quietly. My deepest regrets.
