Mr. Barnes was a member of Town of Lake VFW #5216 an a WWII Veteran and POW and was awarded 4 battle stars and the Purple Heart. Commital service Tuesday, September 23, 2003 Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Town of Lake VFW #5216, 4325 S.
