Edith Terpstra Obituary
Rochester: Peacefully called home to Glory on December 22, 2009. Predeceased by her husband, William, son, Douglas, & daughter, Ruth Ann. She is survived by her sons, David (Hermien) of Lima, NY, Timothy of AL, & Terry of CO; daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Terpstra; sister, Jane Durfee of IL; 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; also nieces, nephews, & cousins. Edie was a very active former board member at Heritage Christian Services Foundation. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge and the Red Cross for many years.
The family will receive friends at Edie's Memorial Service on SATURDAY (Jan. 2nd) at 1:30 PM at The Memorial Orthodox Presbyterian Church (650 Merchants Rd., 14609). For those wishing, please consider honoring Edie with a donation to The Memorial Fund of Memorial Orthodox Presbyterian Church or Heritage Christian Services Foundation (349 W. Commercial St., E. On behalf of our family we extend our condolences to your entire family with your loss. Edie had a beautiful, quiet and confident spirit about her. Her years of faithful service in our church (MOP) and in her community, and her dedication to her family stand as a awesome testimony of our God's grace and love to her. Be comforted that she resides pain free eternally in the presence of her Creator. I will cherish many conversations with her and her many kindnesses extended to our family. You remain in our thoughts and prayers. God bless all of you. We love and miss our church family in Rochester, NY. Love the Crawford family (Tom, Linda, Jonathan, Aaron, & Dominic).

She was an amazing woman who will be missed. She had such strength to get through the life road that she journeyed. My life will continue to be touched by her kind spirit, gentle laugh, and family stories. I am blessed to have had such an amazing grandmother. I love you Gowie, and am thankful you are now free of pain.

Shaun, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your Grandmother. She was a great lady. I'm in Charlotte until the end of March and will be unable to attend the service. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Love, Peggy.
