Eddie L. Elders of Glenwood, IL died on Wednesday October 20, 2021 at South Suburban Hospital. He was 85. He was born on January 22, 1936 in Dewitt, Arkansas. He was educated at The Immanuel School in Arkansas. He married Naomi Johnson and together they had four children Linear, Steven, Dorothea and Wanda. They divorced in 1980 and Eddie was remarried to Sadie Jones. Over the years, he experienced the following long-term employment opportunities: Nachman Spring Corporation and Imperial-Eastman Co. /Gould Company (from which he retired). He decided to come out of retirement and get back into the work field at Faster Messenger Service. Eddie was a proud and dedicated member of the Freemason Fraternal Organization. Eddie was very funny, and enjoyed playing practical jokes on his friends. He also enjoyed playing table tennis and billiards (pool). He will be greatly missed. Eddie leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife of many years, Sadie Elders; four sons, Linear Elders (Deborah), Steven Elders (Michelle), Dr. Pete Jimenez, and Henry Jones; three daughters, Dr. Gloria Spruiell (Dr. Linwood), Dorothea and Wanda Elders; 19 grandchildren, Marissa and Ryan Spruiell [Gloria], Laon Camps (Shacola), Erreyon (Kiana), Ayanna, and Ethan Elders [Linear], Bri'Anna Branch [Dorothea], Quinette Jones [Wanda], Javier and Ayreo Jimenez, Anthony Jones, Aisha, Joshua, Isabella, Isaac, and Ryan Jimenez [Pete], Ricky Williams, Jeremiah and Isaiah Jones [Henry]; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

A memorial service organized by Gatling's Chapel will be held:
