Earline Jones Obituary


Decatur

Funeral for Earline Jones, 89, of Decatur will be Thursday, March 20, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Evans officiating.
Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jones went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2008, where she will reunite again with her beloved husband, Edward Jones, and many other loving family members. She was born Feb. 6, 1919, in Lawrence County to Joseph Edgar Brown and Fannie Mae Gibson Brown. She was a strong woman who loved her family with all her heart and was always a hard worker. She was known as Mam-Maw, Aunt Earline and Momma.
Survivors include four sons, Dallas Jones and wife, Toni, of Decatur, Jimmy Jones and wife, Betty, of Hillsboro, Jackie Jones and wife, Dean, and Billy Jones, both of Decatur; two daughters, Linda Bunnell of Somerville and Brenda Howard and husband, Ray, of Decatur; two brothers, Eddie Brown of Greenhill and Bill Brown of Russellville; three sisters, Marie Bradford of Michigan, Mary Walker and Debra Gibson, both of Russellville; stepmother, Lydia Mae Hester of Russellville; 12 grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Special thanks to Nancy Ray, senior companion, and Dr. David Francis and many special nurses at Parkway Medical Center.

I would like to send my condolences to all of Aunt Erline's children. My mother was Adell Weaver, Uncle Edwards sister. Mom always had good things to say about Aunt Erline. I remember coming to your house when you lived by Grandma and Grandpa Jones. I was about 12 yrs. old and we all had a good time together. I am Earlines cousin. I only got to visit withh her two times but she seemed to be a very loving lady. She really cared for her family. Earlines mama Fanie Mae and my daddy, Lonnie R. Gibson were brother and sister. I am so sorry for your loss.I wish I had spent more time with her. God bless each of you.

I loved Earline and Edward Jones.
They took care of me like one of their own. Earline always loved every one and her coffey. I will aways remember Thanksgiving at her house and playing with all the family. Houston and Myrtris always loved being with them also. I will miss them all. Earline, I will always love and cherish our memories. Kids be sure to lable you pictues so our family will always know who we were and our mom's and dad's and grandparents were. My dad Houston enjoyed viewing old photos before he died. To all my family I love you and cherish the good times and fund memories we had growing up together. Earline was a wonderful wife to a loving husband Edward Jones. I will miss Earline Jones. Love Yall.

It's so hard to lose a loved one but take comfort in knowing that she is in a better place.
I watched your family for a week waiting for that few minutes you would get to spend with your mom. I'm so glad they moved her out of the unit so you could spend as much time as possible with her.
