Dwight Brattain Obituary
BREMEN: Dwight Heath Brattain, affectionately known as "Buck", 84, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on October 27, 2014. He was born in Marion, Indiana June 30, 1930 to the late Pearl and Helen Brattain.
Dwight was a 1948 graduate of Urbana High School, Urbana, Ohio and a United States Air Force Veteran. Dwight continued in careers related to aircraft which included 25 years service at Grimes Manufacturing in Urbana, Ohio. Dwight was a self-proclaimed "tinkerer" and jack-of- all- trades who selflessly built and repaired for family & friends. He loved music and singing and was an avid wildlife enthusiast. As he retired, he fulfilled a dream of country living on a farm.
In addition to his parents, Dwight is preceded in death by sisters Phyllis Valandry and Marge Kenton.
He is survived by his loving close companion Ann Fox; children, Kim (John) Hazlip, Vicki (Mike) Canan, Tracy Mowery; grandchildren, Nathan (Heather) Lawless, Zachary (Delyse) Lawless, Layne Hazlip, Kelsey (James) Beil, Melissa Rizer, Kelly (Issac) Barnett, Monique (Brandon) Hubbard, Devin Mowery; great grandchildren, Alec Lawless, Victoria Lawless, Jacob Lawless, Abigail Rizer, Chloe Rizer, Brady Barnett, Madelyn Barnett; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dwight was a devoted family man who will always be missed and adored.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1 at Morgan Funeral Home, 124 Fort Street, Bremen, Ohio 43107 at 3 p.m. with Pastor Dave Dilger officiating. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Dwight's memory.
