Dear Carin and Katie,

Your loss is beyond words. I was dumbfounded and remain to this day. Doug was a model of energy and light. I am sorry that you both must confront this premature loss of someone so dear.

Doug sure meant a lot to me. He was the courageous knight that gave a boost and great strength to a remarkable group of people at Washington School. I appreciated his kindness, his sense of humor, that twinkle in his eye that always let you know he was up to something, and his irrepressible and tireless willingness to help.

Our thoughts are with you as you begin this new journey in your lives!

With great admiration,

Doug and Kristina Hesbol

Words cannot convey the sadness I feel at the death of my good friend.

Through the many years that I knew him he was always a source of joy...his sense of humour, quick wit and charming manner made us all love him. He will be very much missed.
