Dorthea King Obituary

King, Dorthea Marie (nee McReynolds), was born to the Union of James and Ester McReynolds on April 14, 1950, she accepted Christ at an early age and attended Holy Trinity non-denominational Church. She later joined the Jesus Name Apostolic Church and remained a faithful member until her health prevented her from doing so. She attended Medill Elementary School, Crane High School, Kennedy King, Malcolm X and Loop Junior College. She was employed by the State of Illinois Department of Unemployment Security for the past 28 years. She was also a member of the Waukegan Uptown Lions Club. The Lord came to take her to rest on Saturday, December 22, 2001, at 8:20 a.m. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Ambrose King Jr., her daughter, Stacey Pitts, three step-children, Shawn King, Shannon King, Vaughn King, three grandchildren, Vaughn Jr., Malachi and Paige, her mother Ester McReynolds, her father, Mr. James McReynolds. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 28, 2001, at Jesus Name Apostolic Church, 208 Lake St., Waukegan, IL, Pastor Caples officiating. Wake 10 and funeral 11.
