I met Eileen when we worked at Paymaster in 1964. We continued are friendship for all these years. We would have a reunion every May-except for the last two years as we had health issues. She was so talented funny and creative. She was one of a kind and will miss her. Thoughts and prayers with family.

Dorothy and I have known each other since our college days, over 45 years. She has always been a wise and cool aunt to my daughters. A wonderful listener and empath! Sketching together in the park, museum, neighborhood, or beach, she always saw things through her fresh Dorothy eyes. Fourth of July sailing, and barbecues with friends. Participating in Art exhibits. Dorothy's original stories, so interesting and full of surprising turns read to us during her visits. Thank you for your friendship, Dorothy. Love you lots!

O, dear dear Dorothy, you were the cat's meow, the lion's roar, the shark's bite, the dolphin's funny bone and plenty more, and you left us with a whole menagerie of great memories.

Dear sweet vibrant insightful Dorothy. I always especially enjoyed your one-of-a-kind responses. You so often came up with answers that no one else had ever thought of. What fun and what a great gal!
Much love to you always.

Dorothy was in several of my GeNs classes as a student and I always loved working with her. She was funny and sweet, always had something supportive and affirming to say to other writers, and kept us all on our toes. Her passing is a loss for our community. Rest in peace, Dorothy, and thank you for all the stories.

I first met Dorothy at the North Center GeNarrations group in early 2014. It was clear she had an artist's sensibility coupled with a clever sense of humor. I enjoyed her storytelling performances. Rest in Peace, Dorothy. I'm glad I knew you.

I was a member of the YOLO (You Only Live Once) troup that starred in the show "Off Our Rockers" presented at the Harris Theater in the Millenium Park in downtown Chicago on September 17, 2017. Dorthy was one of the members that added verve to our group and our opera. Her quick wit and sense of timing served our production well.

I met Dorothy at a Presentation Skills workshop with Goodman Theatre. She had an unmistakeable presence. She invited me to join her improv group at North Center. I enjoyed getting to know Dorothy and will miss her. Our conversations covered a variety of topics and I appreciated her honesty.

Goodness, I forgot about that. I was the Director at the senior center and it was our Senior Kultura fundraiser and she offered to set up a table for her stories. I jumped at the chance because she was absolutely the best storyteller. I loved Dorothy. She was my Ukrainian kindred spirit. We shared many stories about being raised Ukie. She was a most delightful person and she´s now has a captive audience up in heaven. Slava Bohu and to you dear Dorothy.

I first met Dorothy at a fund raiser for North Center Satellite Senior Center back in 2012. She was charging $1.00-2.00 to tell you a story. $2.00 got you a longer story. I found the idea so funny and intriguing I had to do it! I don't remember the story, unfortunately, but after getting to know Dorothy better, I realize there were a million more stories available for free! She was a gift to us all and will be missed greatly. God bless you, Dorothy. Heaven just received a great story treller.
