Dorothy was a loving person. I will never forget her kindness to me when I first met my future extended family at a holiday dinner at Dorothy's home when Sue and I were dating. I was so nervous as the "outsider" but Dorothy's warmth put me at ease. It was always wonderful to have her company at the myriad of family functions through the years, and I am grateful to have known her. She will be missed.

Dorothy was as warm as she was whip-smart. Her presence was a welcome constant at every visit I made to Chicago, and will continue on through the wonderful family she raised. While she will be sorely missed, I am forever thankful for the time I got to spend in her company: Bev and Wally, I am so sorry for your loss. You guys did an exceptional job taking care of her, and I know you did her proud.
