Dorothy Kathryn Mason
91, Mooresville, beloved wife of Maurice M. Mason, passed away peacefully September 6, 2014, in the home they built together in 1950, with her husband by her side. Dorothy and Maurice were married March 24, 1943. They renewed their wedding vows on their 70th wedding anniversary at their home. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, Maurice Mason; children, Kathryn Sue Hill (Gary), Stanley Mason (Glenda), Steve Mason (Debbie), and Roger Mason (Yolanda); twelve grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; brothers, John Kingery (Mary) and Bill Kingery (Pat). The service to celebrate her life will begin at 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 9, 2014, in New Life Baptist Church, Mooresville. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Glenns Valley. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.
