Dorothy Kyrk Obituary

Liberty, NY

Dorothy J. Kyrk, a lifetime area resident, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2009 at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty. She was 91.

Born on September 11, 1917 in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Anna Major Bell.

Dorothy was a retired housekeeper at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty. She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons: Arnold Kyrk and his wife, Elizabeth of Livingston Manor, Donald Kyrk of Liberty and John Kyrk of San Francisco, CA; a daughter, Janet Snyder of Kingston; a brother, John Bell of Parksville; a sister, Ada Giuliano of Gilette NJ; three grandchildren: Peter Snyder, Kathi Snyder and Randy Kyrk and two great-grandchildren, Rachel Stauble and Ophelia Stauble.

She was predeceased by a son William, one brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty on Sunday, January 11, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at Ramsay's Funeral Home on Monday January 12, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Robert Nadelen officiating.

Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill crematory, Middle Hope, NY.

Funeral arrangements are by Ramsay's Funeral Homes, Inc., Liberty, NY; 845-292-7160.
